What is LogosAI?

Real-time scripture detection for live sermons — from spoken word to on-screen verse in under two seconds.

Overview

LogosAI is a desktop application that listens to live sermon audio, detects Bible verse references in real time, and instantly displays the full scripture text on your church's projection system. The entire pipeline — from spoken word to on-screen verse — completes in under two seconds with no manual intervention required. You'll see the gold detection indicator pulse in the status bar each time a reference is caught.

It was built specifically for churches that want their congregation to follow along with scripture without relying on a volunteer to manually look up and display each verse as the pastor speaks. LogosAI removes that bottleneck entirely — your tech team can focus on audio, lighting, and cameras while verses appear on screen automatically.

Note
Live transcription uses a secure cloud speech-to-text service. Your audio is never stored on our servers — it's processed in real time and immediately discarded. Bible data and verse detection run entirely on your device.

Key capabilities

  • Real-time detection — identifies scripture references within 1–2 seconds of being spoken, including direct citations, partial references, verbatim quotations, and semantic paraphrases
  • Multiple Bible translations — supports ESV, NIV, KJV, NLT, NASB, CSB, NKJV, AMP, MSG, RVR60, and many more, with dual-translation side-by-side display
  • Projection integration — native support for ProPresenter 7+, EasyWorship, OpenLP, NDI output, and direct secondary-display rendering
  • Fully autonomous — once you press GO LIVE, LogosAI operates without manual input for the entire service
  • Confidence scoring — every detected verse includes a confidence value (0–1) shown in the detection card UI, and you set the threshold that controls when verses appear on screen
  • Session history — every verse detected during a service is logged with timestamps in the session panel, exportable as CSV or JSON
  • Offline capable — once Bible translation data is downloaded, detection works without an internet connection, only TRANSCRIPTION needs Internet Connection
  • Local REST API & WebSocket — build custom integrations, dashboards, or logging pipelines with the built-in developer API

How it works

LogosAI follows a four-stage pipeline that runs continuously while detection is active:

1
Audio capture
The app captures audio from your selected input source — a USB mic, audio interface, virtual audio device, or a direct feed from your sound board. The waveform visualizer in the status bar shows real-time audio levels so you can confirm signal is flowing.
2
Speech-to-text
Audio is streamed to a secure cloud speech-to-text service optimized for natural spoken language. Transcripts return in under a second and are never stored — they're used only to detect scripture references, then discarded.
3
Verse identification
The transcript is parsed by a scripture detection engine that recognizes four types of references: direct citations ("John 3:16"), contextual references ("the next verse"), verbatim quotations, and semantic paraphrases. Each match is assigned a confidence score shown in the detection card.
4
Display output
Verses that pass the confidence threshold are sent to your configured output — ProPresenter, EasyWorship, NDI, direct screen, or the local API. The verse text is pulled from your selected Bible translation and formatted according to your display theme.

Use cases

  • Sunday services — automated verse display during the sermon, freeing your tech team to focus on other responsibilities
  • Wednesday night Bible study — display verses on a TV or monitor as the leader references them in a smaller setting
  • Multi-campus streaming — use the NDI output to feed verse data into a live-stream overlay for satellite campuses
  • Sermon archiving — export the session history to create a verse-indexed record of each sermon
  • Bilingual services (Coming Soon) — display the same verse in two languages simultaneously for multilingual congregations
